wicker painting. need help?

kuka asked:

hi, i painted my new outdoor wicker furniture into white yesterday. i used outdoor spray paint that says it’s good for wicker. i also read somewhere that primer is not necessary, so i didn’t apply it. today i woke up and checked if the paint dried. it’s not sticky but if i lightly scratch it with my nail it comes off. what can do? it’s been 24 hours since i applied the last coat. please help!
thanks for replying. no, i used flat:( i also bought 2 cans of crystal clear finish. should i apply this at all?

Could be number of things and, yeah you really should have primed it. Still, Let it sit a few more days. This isn’t that unusual after 24 hours. I hope you used gloss, too. So, be patient and if I’m wrong e-mail me and I’ll give you a new suggestion. :)
