so my room is currently pink, and i want it to be more peaceful and relaxing. im 13 years old and my room has been this pale pink all my life. my room is pretty big, but it seems small because of all the furniture. i have white wicker furniture so that will look nice for the beach theme, and i cannot take any furniture out. my bed is full sized, and it is also wicker. but i am also pulling up the carpet and getting wood floors, (the carpet is burgundy currently), and i just need help with the color of my bed set. what color would look nice with the pale blue walls? so then i was thinking of just getting a daybed, but i dont really know of anyone to buy a daybed for them to sleep on everynight. and then i was thinking of a twin size. im afraid i wont like it, and i will fall off the bed. My mom has been talking about getting some new patio furniture, so i went searching online for something nice. I thought i had found two perfect things for our smallish backyard/patio, but when i told her, she said that we couldn’t get it because it would be stolen.

She acts like this all the time. Always negative and paranoid. Do YOU think that it would be stolen? We live in a VERY safe/rich-er (ER!) neighborhood. haha. I suppose she’s concerned because the one i showed her was wicker, and it would be easier to steal than other things.

This just bothers me. Is there anything i can say to change her mind? It would be so perfect to put in back. I just want to know what you think. I seriously doubt someone would steal it. Ugh.

About a year ago, my parents and I redecorated my room. It was childish and I was turning 16 so I wanted it to be more mature.
We re-painted the room a greenish color and spray painted the white wicker furniture black and got new sheets and bedspread.
It looked really good after we cleaned everything out and put it back in the room and organized it. I am not an organizational person. I’m not lazy but I’m not crafty or very creative. My mom is and she came up with all of this.
My room gets very messy after a few days of cleaning it. I am very busy so I don’t have much time to devote to cleaning. I play volleyball and basketball so I come home and do my homework and get a shower and everything, but now since it’s summer, i have more time. I want a new desk. Mine is very small and not enough room but my parents aren’t willing to spend another 200 dollars. I’m 17 years old, and I don’t have a job so I can’t pay for it. I would get a job but I’m too busy.
Anyway, my bed is a queen size bed so that takes up a lot of room. To the right of my bed is a bedside table right next to the wall. On the wall on the left side of my bed is a dresser. And next to that is an armoire(?) and then the desk across from my bed. So, my room is very full. I have a walk in closet that stays messy and a walk in bathroom.
So my question is, how can i reorganize my room without spending a heap of cash. What are some do-it-yourself ways I can do?
I don’t know where to start.
